Neil will speak about the subject called behavioural forensics – an emerging area in computer security. Behaviometrics attempts to constantly measure the activity of user through their use of the keyboard and mouse and then use this as a continuous authentication token.
Neil Costigan is the CTO at BehavioSec, a Luleå based IT-Security company developing solutions around behaviometric research. The Cell Broadband Engine (Cell BE) lies at the heart of Sony's Playstation 3. Because its designers were given the rare opportunity to design a processor from the round-up, security is an integral part of the processor architecture and not an after-thought.
This talk will describe that architecture and expand on the recent attacks that have made it vulnerable.
